Comfortable room- we booked a twin room and it came with a massage chair. The breakfast was surprisingly excellent and one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. It included things like scallops.
Although the room was clean and it was a non smoking room it did smell of smoke.
Helpful staff, quiet, clean, good location, good value.
The reception staff are very helpful and there are also electronic machines for checkin / checkout. The hotel is in a really good position to walk to the castle, cherry tree, restaurants and 15 minutes from the train station.
I liked everything the hotel had to offer.

A lovely room with a very comfortable bed. The location if the hotel is ideal for seeing the major sights, and its proximity to the station.The manager went beyond his duty when we had a medical event and the ambulance needed to be called. All the staff had limited English, so his help was much appreciated.
Our stay was comfortable and the location was close to the station. Please remember there are two Daiwa hotels in the same city, so you need to check the location clearly!EDIT: I had previously complained about additional charges over the booking amount. But that was due to my misunderstanding. Booking.com had charged only for people over 16 years, but the hotel considers 15 year olds as adults. I missed that information.
Clean. Lots of restaurants nearby. Near castle, shrine and walking street. We met the craft market and mini market there in October during our stay.
Beds too soft. Not comfortable. Parking needs extra charge. Not many parking space in hotel but have chartered carpark nearby.
The hotel looks new and clean. The staff (especially the front desk guy who facilitated our check-in) was very accommodating, nice and friendly. Overall, we had a really nice stay in this hotel. Thank you very much.
The only thing that caught us off guard is the location. This is not the hotel's fault of course. There are two Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Morioka, one is near the station, Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka Ekimae, and the other is this one which is a bit farther away (around 800 meters from the station). We went to the Daiwa Roynet Hotel near the station, but the staff there were also very nice enough to teach us the right way to go to this hotel. So overall it was still a nice experience. We used a taxi upon check-out and it only costed us around JPY850 to the train station.
The bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great and the staff was attentive to my needs. Check-in was seamless and quick.
There was nothing I didn't like when staying with Daiwa.
